You can remove Network Printer Control (NPC) from your computer by selecting the "Uninstall NetworkPrinter Control" selection from the Start Menu, or from the "Programs and Features" section of the Windows Control Panel. All of your mapping settings will be unaffected by the uninstallation and if you want Windows to manage your default printers, you should either make that selection within NPC before you uninstall it, or specifically turn that setting on within Windows after the uninstall of NPC.
